Hedgerow Single Fence
Hedgerow - Increasing the number of hedgerows across the catchment can have multiple benefits for wildlife, landowners and the wider area. These range from providing shelter for livestock, reducing the risk of escape and formalising borders. Reducing the impact of seasonal flooding by reducing the volume of water reaching waterways through interception of rainfall and abstraction. Provide habitat for species beneficial to crops - i.e. pollinators and predators of pest species and corridors to allow movement of beneficial species between fields.

Single fences are only applicable where one fence already exists.Download factsheet
Hedgerow Double Fence

Riparian Buffer Strip
Riparian Buffer Strip - These are found close to flowing water bodies and can help to stabilise riverbanks, increase habitat, reduce livestock escape and improve the ecological green corridor across the catchment. Buffer strips will also help to reduce flooding by increasing surface water interception, surface roughness and abstraction.Download factsheet
Tree Planting / Woodland Creation
Tree Planting / Woodland Creation- Tree planting helps to increase carbon capture, increase habitat and reduce the impact of flooding by increasing evapotranspiration and abstraction of surface water. Tree planted areas can also provide refuge for livestock.Instruction Video
